Christopher Dorn holds a degree in sociology from Bielefeld University. Currently he is a doctoral researcher at the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology at Bielefeld University.
His dissertation project deals with hospitals in the United States. Its specific focus is on the historical development of different hospital care assessments, evaluations, and rankings, using comparison as the overarching concept.
Other research explored some of the organizational foundations of organized crime. During his stay at SCORE he hopes to deepen his understanding of the early history of U.S. hospitals and the respective forms of hospital care assessment. Furthermore he expects to advance the collaborative edition of a volume on comparison. His stay is funded by a mobility grant from the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology.
