Janet Vähämäki's obtained her PhD in Business Administration in 2017 within the research project results agenda in development cooperation. Her research interest concerns management control and results based management in the public sector and in development aid in specific. Janet leads the project financed by the Swedish Research Council with the title ”Towards an organizational theory on ”obsessive measurement disorder”: A comparative study on how intermediary organizations translate control requirements on aid” and a project on Trust Based Management, financed by the Expert Group on Aid Studies.
Janet combines her time at SCORE with her other employment at Stockholm Environment Institute, where she acts as the Head of Unit for Resources and Development. She forms part of the Expert Group on Aid Studies and the Board of Radiohjälpen. She is the Programme Manager for SweDev, the Swedish Development Research Network. Janet has previously worked for Sida, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, civil society organizations and has conducted several consultancy assignments.
